1919-1937
Lennart Andersson
Continuing
the series of e-books on Chinese
aviation history ...
Between
1919 and 1937 the Chinese Navy
designed and built not less than
twelve different types of
floatplanes, flying-boats and
landplanes in its own workshops in
Fuzhou, Xiamen and Shanghai.
In addition Avro Avians and de
Havilland DH60 Moths were acquired
for use as trainers and at Qingdao
a number of Schreck FRA 17s and
FBA 19s were used. Naval aviation
continued to be an independent
service until the war with Japan
started in 1937.
